Counselling & Support Services for Schools
Our latest blog is now available, discussing our alternative services instead of using an EAP:
Why offer counselling for your staff members?
New 2020 analysis from Deloitte shows for every £1 spent by employers on mental health interventions they get £5 back in reduced absenteeism, presenteeism and staff turnover.
According to the Office for National Statistics 131.2 million working days were lost due to sickness in the UK. Approximately 14.3 million of these days were lost due to stress, depression and anxiety.
We work with businesses to provide Counselling services to help your organisation and support your employees to help them to resolve any work or personal related issues that are having a negative impact on their work.
Common issues include;
Bullying / harassment
Communication problems
Discrimination
Interpersonal conflict
Low motivation and job satisfaction
Mental health issues
Performance issues
Poor health
Work related stress
Personal related issues
Counselling can explore healthy coping skills that employees can use to manage work related stress and other issues.
Counselling can also help your employees to explore and implement stress management techniques and explore assertive communication as well as conflict resolution skills.
"Our School have been using Therapy Centre Services to support both students and staff over the past 18 months. Due to the pressures on other support services in our local area, Therapy Centre Services have been invaluable in getting support for those in need, quickly and with ease. The team respond to requests for support within 24 hours and are flexible in their approach with either face to face, telephone or virtual consultations. We look forward to working more with the centre in the future to provide emotional support when members of our community need it the most. "
Counselling for Staff Members
It is important to provide proactive support for any member of staff struggling with their mental health due to a personal or work-related issue. Our team are very experienced in supporting employees working in the education sector, and we work closely with our Schools to help retain the member of staff in the workplace, or to help them to return to work as soon as possible if they have been signed off work.
Referrals can be submitted through to us as before using our online referral form; www.therapycentreservices.com/schools
You can decide how many counselling sessions to support for each member of staff. On receipt of a referral, we will confirm receipt of the referral directly with you, and then contact the staff member to offer them an initial counselling session within 24 hours.
"As a new Headteacher this year, I met some members of staff who brought personal and professional concerns to me that was beyond what I could support here at school.
Staff had issues that I really wanted to support, and I have to say the feedback I have received from them regarding TCS has been phenomenal.
From the timely approach they take to contacting staff within 24 hours (which has always been met in our experience) to delivering counselling sessions in a place and time to suit the staff and carrying out sessions online in this fast-paced world we live has been brilliant. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!
Counselling for students
Our Child Counselling team can provide counselling for students of your school, which can be self-funded by either a parent / guardian, the school or other 3rd party referrers:

These counselling sessions can take place on-site at the school during a suitable lesson slot, or outside of school time at a local centre to suit.
We also have counsellors available to offer online/telephone alternatives for students who would prefer this method.
